I was reading over some of the articles on EcoGeek the other day, listening to the various solutions being offered by the politicians, replaying the many conversations I’ve had with others about what we could do to make a difference with the environment. Being a nationally published landscape photographer, you’ll understand why I have a particularly high interest in preserving the beautiful places left on Earth.

One of the main conflicts people have on the topic seem to come up around the believability of the science backing global warming. For the sake of this specific blog entry, I’d like to establish a brief conversation in a neutral place about the simple actions that you can take to help reduce your footprint on the planet even it you think the whole global warming thing is hogwash!

Here’s the idea; Lets simply “pretend” that all the scientists studding global warming are totally wrong. Wouldn’t it still make sense to leave the smallest possible footprint? Preserve our natural resources for future generations? And do the best we can to support our environment? After all, the USA population makes up less that 5% of the World’s people and we use 25%+ of the resources!

My Mom is always talking about what a big deal people make about recycling. They have done it their whole lives because when they grew up everybody was required to do it due to the war. Funny thing is, that experience has turned my Dad into a guy that saves everything and can fix anything!

The point is; There are a ton of things we can do that are so simple, so easy, and many of them will save you money… so why not? Who cares about arguing over the validity of global warming. Let the politicians do that! In the meantime, save the Planet and save yourself some money!
