This after another migraine level headache yesterday and being called an enigma!
(And I don’t particularly like being called something I have to spell-check!)
Here is an excerpt from what turned me around; I received this via email and it seemed to fit… It made me feel a lot better… so, I hope you will also enjoy it.
Today was one of those “Post headache days”. Or should I say post headache “Daze”… Well, that’s how it feels anyway. I’m partly pissed-off, partly frustrated, and another part depressed!
Unkind criticism is never part of a meaningful critique of you. Its purpose is not to teach or to help, its purpose is to punish.” ~ Barbara Sher
Not all, but most of us have a very poor opinion of ourselves due to our very powerful “inner critics”. Our self-contempt merely keeps us miserable and stuck in a state of terminal mediocrity.
If we were to make only one simple change to transform the quality of our lives, we might try sending a little extra love in our own direction.
If you had a friend who talked to you like you sometimes talk to yourself, would you continue to hang around with that person?” ~ Rob Bremer
And my favorite one:
You, yourself, as much as anybody in the entire universe, deserve your love and affection.”
~ Buddha
So, with that…
Thanks me, Keep up the good work!
Ron

It’s a tribute to our spirit that we continue to be loyal to ourselves in the face of such self-rejection and contempt. Just think how we could thrive and live our mission if we cherish ourselves! One simple action we could take in this direction (like you did in your post, Ron) iis to simply thank ourselves for keeping on keeping on.
