One of which is Russ Collins in Michigan. This is what Russ had to say about the post: Why your New Year Resolutions Won’t Work! from 12/30/08

In the world of performance there is a very key distinction to make.  Human beings falsely attribute their worldly thoughts, actions, and results to who they are.  Who we know ourselves to be is not who we really are.  Who we think we are is only a way of being.  When who we are being is our creation, then that is who we authentically are.

When we fail at something, we tend to collapse the “what happened” with “who we are”.  We fail at something and say that we are a failure, when all that happened is we failed to do or put in something that would have gotten the wanted result.  We just failed; it does not mean that we are a failure!  We are always whole, complete and perfect; that never changes.  We are still great, awesome, inspiring, loving, magnificent,………………….and we simply did not do something that would have impacted the results in a certain way and we declared it to be a failure and we said that!

Un-collapsing the two circles is the key to getting out.  Who I am is a great person that didn’t take certain actions to get specific results and it is not even bad that I didn’t know what actions to take.  I just didn’t know what actions I should take.  Sometimes I just didn’t know that I didn’t know, and I can’t make myself wrong for that!  Wasn’t even on my radar.  AND now knowing in hind-sight what actions to take and doing them now will lead to a different result now.  We can all agree that life is uncertain, and we can not control uncertainty (no matter how much we would like to).

Accept your Self for who you are AND who you are not.  Honor your Self and do what you know to do.  Not doing what you know to do is an integrity issue.  Not like anything is wrong, but like no workability.  One bicycle wheel that is missing spokes is not wrong, but it doesn’t have integrity and won’t work like it is meant to.  Seeing that our own integrity is out is an opportunity to put something back in (restore it) that brings us back to whole and complete.  Not doing what you DON’T know to do is just being incomplete.  There is just something that you didn’t know that you didn’t know is missing and what there is to do is ADD something.  So there may be a new action to take.  Another new opportunity to grow.

We are all divine beings and we have no choice; never forget that.  Nothing is ever wrong, REALLY.

Love,
Russ
